Chief of Staff

Description

• Drive key initiatives from strategy to execution
• Streamline operations and manage internal communications
• Draft and implement business processes across HR, Finance, and IT
• Track staff performance on assigned tasks
• Partner with the CEO to develop strategies for headcount and revenue growth
• Build internal infrastructure and contingency plans for operational scalability
• Ensure smooth operations during rapid growth and large contracts

Requirements

• Master's degree required; MBA strongly preferred.
• 5–7 years reporting directly to a C-level executive in a small to mid-sized company.
• Knowledge of federal contracting budgets, government accounting, and DCAA audit requirements.
• Firsthand experience with third-party accounting and cybersecurity audits.
• Ability to design and implement processes across HR, Finance, and IT.
• Track record of managing multiple projects and holding teams accountable.
• Ability to translate business goals into actionable operational plans.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with AI tools and able to train staff on validated AI use.
• Experience managing a remote team across 10+ states and 3–4 time zones.
• Thrives in fast-paced environments; shifts priorities without losing sight of long-term goals.
• U.S Citizenship is required.
