What you will do

• Serve as a strategic proxy and advisor to the Chief Legal Officer in executive forums and key decisions.
• Lead and scale enterprise-wide Legal Operations infrastructure, intake models, workflow automation, and cross-functional legal programs.
• Oversee legal technology, including CLM, e-Billing, entity management, and practical AI use cases.
• Establish legal KPIs, operational dashboards, and data-driven reporting for team performance, turnaround times, and department ROI.
• Manage legal department budgets, external legal spend, outside counsel guidelines, fee negotiations, and alternative fee arrangements.
• Lead QBRs, annual planning, resource allocation, and process modernization across Legal, Finance, Sales, Security, and Product.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in legal operations, chief of staff, or strategic legal/business operations within a high-growth technology environment.
• Proven experience scaling legal operations, implementing CLM and e-Billing systems, using AI-enabled technology, improving legal processes, and managing outside counsel spend.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including departmental budgets, vendor negotiations, and data-driven reporting.
• Executive presence and experience partnering with C-suite leadership, managing teams, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree required; JD or MBA strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and enterprise project management platforms.

Salary $238,000–$327,000 USD annually
