About
The Director, Chief of Staff will oversee the Enterprise Supplier Management team, ensuring alignment and efficiency in operations, managing relationships with executive leadership, and supporting strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic thought partner for our ESM leadership team, helping guide the operations and management of the organization.
- Act as a central point of contact between the executive leadership team, the Chief of Staff team, and other key partners to ensure alignment.
- Aid the leadership team in strategic planning, uncovering critical efficiencies and optimizing meetings.
- Manage the ESM leadership and business routines to drive clarity, alignment, and momentum toward strategic priorities.
- Assist leadership with strategic, financial, and resource planning in collaboration with Chief of Staff team, Finance, and HR.
- Create and manage scalable processes to manage operating rhythms, leading new operational processes to drive executional excellence.
- Create content to enable strategic reviews, discussions, and decisions.
- Plan and execute key communications with the leadership and communications teams.
- Develop strong relationships to act as a sounding board and thought partner.
- Manage and track associate survey (AAS) results and support improvement strategies.
- Support ESM recruiting strategy, serve as liaison with Talent Acquisition, and track open roles.
- Oversee associate engagement, morale, and culture efforts.
- Lead and inspire a team of Chief of Staff Associates, driving operational strategy across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or military experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in Project Management, Process Management, Program Management, or a combination.
- At least 5 years of people management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry experience in financial services or supply chain organizations.
- 7+ years driving organizational change and operational optimization.
- 7+ years supporting budget, labor strategy, and financial planning.
- 7+ years in communications strategy and development.
- 8+ years in organizational development and performance.
Compensation
- McLean, VA: $230,400 - $263,000 annually.
- Richmond, VA: $209,500 - $239,100 annually.
Limited travel may be required. Capital One will not sponsor new applicants for employment authorization for this position.
