The Role
The Chief of Staff will support the Tokenization & Checkout Services team by managing operations, strategic governance, executive communication, and leadership support, ensuring priorities and processes align with leadership's vision.
About the Role
As Chief of Staff, you will be the strategic right hand to leadership, ensuring priorities are clear, processes run smoothly, and communication is impactful. This role blends operational excellence with creative storytelling, requiring a unique mix of consulting rigor, organizational savvy, and executive presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Coordinate and support the Tokenization & Checkout Services team.
- Manage calendars, organize town halls, and prepare materials for leadership engagements.
- Drive alignment across teams and ensure timely execution of priorities.
- Strategic Governance: Lead the Weekly Review, collecting updates from team leaders and synthesizing progress on strategic initiatives.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders for informed decision-making.
- Executive Communication & Storytelling: Develop compelling storyboards and presentations that simplify complexity and inspire action.
- Elevate communication standards across the team with creativity and clarity.
- Special Projects & Leadership Support: Partner with leadership on high-impact initiatives and cross-functional projects.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, providing structured analysis and actionable insights.

- Exceptional Communication & Organization: Skilled at managing priorities and delivering results under tight deadlines.
- Strategic Thinking & Detail Orientation: Advanced presentation and storytelling skills; highly proficient in PowerPoint and communication tools.
- Influence & Leadership: Ability to build partnerships, gain buy-in, and add value to strategic vision.
- Analytical & Financial Acumen: Comfortable interpreting complex data and articulating insights across business units.
- Sound Judgment & Discretion: Proven ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Thrives in dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
- Consulting Experience: Prior experience at a top-tier consulting firm (BCG, McKinsey, Deloitte) strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Mastercard products and services is a plus.
Corporate Security Responsibility
- Abide by Mastercard's security policies and practices;
- Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed;
- Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and
- Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard's guidelines.
Compensation & Benefits
In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary ($130,000 - $214,000 USD for Purchase, New York) and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
