About the Role

Basic Capital is hiring a Chief of Staff to operate as the right hand to the CEO, Abdul Al-Asaad. This is not a traditional strategic role. It is an execution-first position designed to serve as the operational backbone behind a founder operating at extreme velocity across fundraising, regulatory affairs, and institutional partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Attend all major meetings and capture detailed notes and action items
  • Drive all follow-ups, ensuring every opportunity progresses post-meeting
  • Manage CEO inbox to zero - triage, draft responses, and prioritize
  • Build and maintain daily execution plans and weekly planning cadence
  • Handle scheduling, logistics, and communications without prompting
  • Coordinate Series B fundraising, including diligence, documentation, and investor communication
  • Manage strategic partnership execution (Coinbase-level deals)
  • Support regulatory workflows across DOL, SEC, and government stakeholders
  • Build systems to ensure opportunities are consistently captured and converted
  • Work cross-functionally with CTO, Growth, Operations, and Legal

Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of relevant experience in investment banking and operations
  • Experience in financial services or B2B environments preferred
  • Strong background in executive function and organizational systems thinking
  • Willingness to manage both strategic and administrative tasks without ego
  • Ability to thrive in a high-intensity, founder-led environment
