We're building financial infrastructure for the people the traditional system has historically underserved. Why this role exists

Partnerships and strategic transactions will be a meaningful part of how Chive grows. Right now, nobody owns that pipeline. We need a trusted partner who can hold both the big picture and the operational detail at the same time.

What you'll do

• Map the fintech partnership and M&A landscape across payments, lending, embedded finance, fin ops tools and bring a live, opinionated view on where Chive should be moving
• Build financial models and investment memos for acquisition targets and strategic partnerships, from initial framing through to recommendation
• Own deal processes end-to-end. You run it without being chased
• Act as a strategic partner to the founding team, helping prioritise, plan, and drive forward key business initiatives across functions
• Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and stakeholder notes for high-profile meetings, investor conversations, and external events
• Draft high-impact written work: strategic papers, thought leadership, and external communications that reflect Chive's voice accurately
• Build and nurture relationships across the ecosystem, with founders, investors, policymakers, and media, and maintain those relationships with genuine care and follow-through
• Support the planning and execution of key events, including curating invite lists, coordinating speakers

What we're looking for

• 2+ years in a high-performance environment: investment banking, VC, strategy consulting, corp dev, or a Chief of Staff role at a fast-growing company
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills alongside the ability to write clearly and persuasively for very different audiences
• Able to move between strategy and execution without losing momentum on either. You scope a project and then actually deliver it
• Exceptional organisational judgement. You know what to escalate, what to resolve quietly, and how to protect focus without creating bottlenecks
• Genuinely curious about who uses Chive and why. The best strategic moves here start with understanding what real users need, not what looks good on paper
• Bonus: existing relationships in the European startup or VC ecosystem, or experience working directly with founders
