Chief of Staff
POSITION SUMMARY
The Women’s and Children’s Alliance (WCA) is seeking a Chief of Staff to help strengthen how the organization operates, leads, and grows. Reporting to the CEO, this role serves as a key connector across the organization—aligning strategy, people, and operations to ensure that priorities are clear, leaders are supported, and meaningful progress is made toward mission-driven goals. The Chief of Staff will play a central role in advancing organizational effectiveness, including leadership development, performance management, and the systems and processes that support a healthy, high-performing organization.
This role is well-suited for a collaborative and strategic leader who is energized by improving how organizations function and how people work together. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and trusted advisor who can navigate complexity, build alignment, and drive results through influence. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field required; Master’s degree (MBA, MPA, or similar) preferred
Experience
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience with at least 3 years in senior leadership roles with oversight of multiple programs or service lines; preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization
- Experience working in or closely supporting senior leadership or executive-level operations
- Experience in environments requiring coordination across multiple departments or functions
Technical & Functional Experience
- Experience supporting budgeting processes, organizational planning, or operational reporting
- Working knowledge of business operations, HR practices, and compliance considerations
Additional Requirements
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet State of Idaho requirements
- Successful completion of background check
- Ability to travel locally for meetings and events
Salary Range $83,700 - $93,700
