About the Role

Serve as a strategic partner to the Head of Engineering and leadership team during rapid organizational growth. Own operating rhythms, improve decision-making and execution, diagnose organizational friction, and create plans for cross-functional delivery. Translate technology strategy into priorities, operating plans, and measurable outcomes. Apply AI tools to streamline processes and reduce operational toil while influencing senior technical leaders and driving sustainable organizational practices.

This Chief of Staff role involves shaping engineering operations, driving impact through influence and collaboration rather than formal authority, owning key operational rhythms, and leveraging AI to remove toil. The role requires experience inside an engineering organization and the ability to communicate as a strategic peer to senior technical leaders.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of related professional experience
• Direct experience as an engineer, engineering manager, or technical program leader inside a software organization
• Experience as a strategic partner or Chief of Staff to senior technical executives (CTO, Head of Engineering, VP engineering)
• Ability to diagnose operational problems, design plans, and oversee execution
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills influencing senior leaders and aligning stakeholders
• Experience navigating fast-moving environments with adaptability and resourcefulness
• Ability to translate company/technology strategy into clear organizational priorities and measurable outcomes
• Fluency with AI tools in daily work and applying AI to improve organizational processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Chief of Staff or Engineering Operations experience reporting to CTO/Head of Engineering
• Experience at a high-growth or rapidly scaling tech company
• Experience in healthcare technology or regulated industries
• Organizational design and change management experience
• Prior individual contributor engineering experience with shipping code
