Dobs.AI

Chief of Staff

San Francisco, United States
Full-Time

Dobs.AI is building an AI platform that can deploy autonomous agents for any complex workflow involving large volumes of unstructured documents, with a focus on use cases with direct P&L impact. In under a year, Dobs.AI has secured funding, been recognized by TechCrunch as a top startup, and signed two Fortune 500 companies as early adopters.

Founder & CEO Nikita Komarov brings deep operating and founding experience. Dobs was formed in partnership with founding board member Alex Tonelli, co-founder of Funding Circle (IPO) and first investor in Collective Medical (major sale).

About The Role

We seek a highly driven Chief of Staff to work directly with Nikita, amplifying the impact of Dobs’s leadership team. This high-ownership role enables the CEO to focus on high-priority initiatives and ensures company-wide clarity and alignment. You will:

  • Lead product discovery and new business building, exploring and developing new use cases.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives, ensuring timely follow-through and alignment.
  • Act as a force multiplier for the CEO, handling key communications, preparing materials, and facilitating decision-making.
  • Improve operational excellence through systems, processes, and team coordination.
  • Serve as a trusted sounding board for leadership, providing research, analysis, and perspective on critical decisions.
  • Step into gaps as needed, from preparing investor decks to coordinating customer pilots.

About You

This high-leverage role is for someone who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, switching between strategy, operations, and execution. You bring strategic thinking, operational rigor, and a bias toward action, with excellent judgment and a natural problem-solving ability. If you've dreamed of being a founder in an early-stage startup, this position offers a front seat to building a business and a fast learning curve. We see the role as a jumpstart to becoming an executive in Dobs or starting your own business. You have:

  • 5–8 years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, or chief of staff roles.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a track record of delivering results, strong written and verbal communication.
  • High emotional intelligence, discretion, and the ability to earn trust quickly.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced startup with shifting priorities.
  • Entrepreneurial, business-building, AI product development, customer development, and business development experience are significant advantages.
  • Located in or willing to relocate to San Francisco; we believe early-stage is best done in person.
