About the Role:

We’re looking for a Chief of Staff (People Operations Focus) to serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team as Digitail enters its next phase of growth. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role — part operator, part people leader, and part organizational architect. You’ll own the rhythm of the business and the backbone of the people function, ensuring the company scales with clarity, accountability, and a strong, connected culture.

Executive Partnership & Business Operations:

  • Act as a thought partner to the CEO on strategy, prioritization, and company-wide execution.
  • Drive operating cadence across the leadership team (OKRs, planning cycles, leadership offsites, and exec communications).
  • Translate the company strategy into clear goals, timelines, and ownership across functions.
  • Identify organizational friction and proactively solve for structure, process, and decision flow.

People Strategy & Org Design:

  • Design and execute a scalable people roadmap aligned to aggressive growth (2.5–3x headcount over two years).
  • Partner with leaders across Product, Engineering, Revenue, and Finance on workforce planning, org design, and hiring strategy.
  • Build systems that support scale — from onboarding and performance management to career frameworks and succession planning.

Culture, Performance & Engagement:

  • Champion a high-performance, inclusive, and globally connected culture across hubs.
  • Relaunch and evolve the performance framework to support new leadership layers, clear growth paths, and continuous feedback.
  • Lead engagement and retention initiatives grounded in data, feedback, and business impact.

People Operations & Infrastructure:

  • Own HR operations, systems, and data integrity across tools, reporting, and compliance.
  • Establish metrics that tie people initiatives to business outcomes (retention, productivity, leadership effectiveness, ROI).
  • Improve operational rigor across performance reviews, compensation cycles, and internal communications.

Leadership Enablement & Development:

  • Partner with the CEO and senior leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness, decision-making, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Build and scale L&D programs for managers and emerging leaders in a global, distributed environment.

About You:

You’re a strategic operator with a strong People & Culture backbone — someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds structure from scratch, and enjoys sitting at the intersection of business, leadership, and people.

  • Must be based in London, UK
  • Experience helping a company scale from ~100+ employees through its next major growth phase.
  • Background in high-growth SaaS or tech environments, with direct ownership of People Ops, performance systems, or HR infrastructure.
  • Strong business acumen — you think in terms of impact, ROI, and outcomes, not just programs.
  • Proven ability to partner closely with CEOs and executive teams on strategy, alignment, and execution.
  • Comfortable working across global, cross-cultural teams.
  • Highly organized, data-informed, and proactive — you spot problems before they become blockers.
  • Curious, grounded, and motivated by building environments where both people and the business perform at their best.

The Extras that Matter

  • What they’re building matters -it impacts the lives of real people and pets 🐶.
  • Build and scale a People function from the ground up — your blueprint, your team.
  • Employee Share Options- their employees share a key role in shaping the company’s future.
  • $1000 yearly budget for learning and growth opportunities.
  • Competitive compensation & equity - designed to provide you with financial security
