Pre-Series A startup led by a solo technical founder needing a Chief of Staff to solve their hardest problems and run the entire operation seamlessly.
Requirements
- IVY League or Top Consulting - Tier 1 background required
- 2–7 years experience fitting one of three archetypes: Ex-Founder, Escape Artist (consulting/banking to early startup), or Scaling Survivor
- Generalist with a clear sharp edge in GTM/sales or product
- Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate and work in-person 5 days a week
Responsibilities
- Own CEO’s biggest bets end-to-end including product launches, growth strategy, fundraising support, customer research
- Run cross-functional projects across product and GTM independently
- Maintain planning cycles, metrics reviews, burn rate, people ops, hiring pipelines and overall operating cadence
- Build scalable systems and processes like compliance, commission structures, AI tooling to support company growth
- Conduct customer interviews and translate insights to push product forward
- Ensure successful launches including scripting, vendor coordination, and managing details
Compensation
- Base salary: $100K – $175K
- Equity: 0.4% – 1% (4-year vest with 1-year cliff)
Equity at pre-Series A stage offers significant upside potential.

- Location: San Francisco, in-person only, 5 days a week (no remote/hybrid)

Bonus points
- AI-native or applied AI experience
- Prior Chief of Staff, ops, or product role
- Top-20 university attendance (Ivy League is a plus)
- Technical literacy to hold your own with engineers

- Only big-company experience with no startup exposure
- Founder without real traction (e.g. only an LLC)
