Chief of Staff to the CEO
Location: San Francisco Bay Area or Remote (US-based)
Reports to: Founder & CEO
The Role
Ando is hiring a Chief of Staff to the CEO to serve as a true right hand to the Founder & CEO. This is a position of exceptional trust, proximity, and responsibility.
You will operate at the center of the company, helping translate strategy into execution, protecting decision quality, and ensuring Ando moves with clarity, urgency, and discipline. You will have visibility into every critical function and will be empowered to act on the CEO’s behalf internally and externally.
This is not an Executive Assistant role. It is a senior operator role designed for someone with the judgment, stamina, and ambition to grow into a future COO or equivalent leadership position.
What You’ll Do
CEO Partnership & Strategic Execution
- Act as a thought partner to the CEO across strategy, prioritization, and execution
- Pressure-test ideas, surface risks, and bring structure to ambiguous decisions
- Prepare, synthesize, and follow through on high-stakes meetings with investors, customers, advisors, and partners
- Protect the CEO’s time and focus by filtering noise and driving outcomes
Company Operating Cadence
- Serve as the connective tissue across product, engineering, operations, sales, finance, and legal
- Drive operating rhythm including weekly priorities, exec reviews, board preparation, and follow-through
- Ensure commitments are clear, dependencies are surfaced, and teams stay aligned
- Identify gaps, bottlenecks, and misalignment early and move decisively to resolve them
Technical & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as a partial Technical Project Manager ensuring product and engineering teams are communicating clearly with commercial and operational stakeholders
- Translate between technical and non-technical contexts without losing precision
- Help maintain architectural clarity and execution discipline as systems evolve
Stewardship of Sensitive Operations
- Oversee sensitive domains including payroll, financial workflows, legal coordination, and confidential company information
- Partner with external counsel, accountants, and vendors to maintain operational integrity
- Be trusted to manage high-sensitivity communications and materials on behalf of the CEO when appropriate
External Representation
- Represent the CEO and Ando with investors, customers, and partners as needed
- Support investor communications, diligence workflows, and ongoing relationships
- Speak with authority, discretion, and alignment when acting on behalf of leadership
Who You Are
You are sharp, composed, and deeply engaged intellectually. You thrive in environments where problems are not fully defined and judgment matters as much as analysis.
You likely bring experience from strategy, consulting, investing, or high-expectation operating environments, and you are comfortable working directly with senior executives or founders, and communicating with investors.

Compensation Range: $180K - $200K
